Happy New Year everyone and happy ushering your life into yet another new decade. I was wondering, in the 1980’s, they’d call it “The Eighties” while 1990’s as “The Nineties”. I wonder what they’ll call the 2000’s. O_O;; Millennies? What about the 2010’s..? The Tenties?? The Tennies?? LULZ!!
Well 2010 marks a new journey for me. A totally new journey. My husband and I have been married for almost 6 months now and for 6 months we’ve been living with his parents. We did plan to live on our own but wasn’t able yet due to the condition of the house we’d be moving in which is quite “incondusive” to live in. (atleast for “mengada” old me wahahaha) It’s an old house which belonged to his parents. A house the whole family lived in before they moved into the current new house. The house is about the same age or older as we are. My husband told me that he was born 10 days after his parents moved into the house back then. Talk about 23+ year old house. =D It’s a nice one storey house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a BIG kitchen which my mom liked a lot. New houses that sprouts these days doesn’t provide such size of a kitchen. Is it a sign that modern housewives today doesn’t cook as much as the old-schools used too…? Hmm..
We renovated/upgraded the house a bit so that it doesn’t look and feel as bad. Here’s some glimpse of what I’m talking about…
Massive photo attack!
The master bathroom before the renovation. Old utilities, old tiles, old pipes, everything’s old.
*ta-da!* Everything’s bran new here. From the sliding door to the utilities to the ceiling. =) Nice~ Much better.
The Master bedroom. The windows views the front gate. Pretty convenient to check-up on thieves comin from the front door. =)
That’s a built-in cupboard belonged to my mum-in-law back when she used to stay here.
There’s my husband, painting the wall green!
Hmm.. The colour reminds me of my workplace. ~_~
Tada~~ All is done! I love the bed. It has lots of secret hiding storage. Ngehehee~
Pic’s a lil bit blur. There’s our dressing cupboard. Yummy!!
Here’s the living room viewing into the kitchen and dining room.
A worker polisihing the marble floors. The cupboard is painted black to match most of our furniture. And the red wall, well.. you have to agree red goes well with black, don’t they?
From yellow-coloured “gigi tak gosok” floor to a watery shiny shiny floor.
And the furniture comes in~ Ta-da!! That’s a black Ikea carpet I got from the place I work as a wedding present. Nice thick one! I like!!
Hey, the first two visitors even wear red to match our living room theme! =D
Our soon-to-be working studio. The place where I am currently typing my blogspot now.
El-finito! =)
Pics credited to My Dearest Husband, Hariz, for all his hardwork, effort and love he put into making the house a wonderful place to live in despite all the bitching I put up for him. ;_; Looking forward for years of wonderful life with you, dearest!! =)
try changing those switch or socket panels too … i used t&j brand
Yar we did changed the switch and socket panels (as well as the MDB. It’s so antic! It was made of wood!!) but only to the normal brand sold at the local DIY store. T&J brand? I’ve never heard of those particularly. I’ll google it up! =Dhttp://ayez.fazuu.net/skidmarks/wp-admin/#comments-form
