The Story of Us -extended-

The Story of Us -extended-

Today is Shareese’s 6th week birthday. Yay! He’s a month and a half now and he’s scheduled for his second immunization appointment. It’s the first time we brought him out of the house! Hariz and I are so damn gila excited to bring him out, even to the hospital. Hahaha kalau ikutkan hati nak je bawak die jalan-jalan gi Mid Valley ke, Sunway ke, Bukit Tinggi ke, shopping baju raye tapi mama kata don’t risk it since die tak abis hari lagi. Huhuu…

Guess what? When the nurse weigh him on the weighing machine, we were quite surprised to know that he gained A LOT since he was born. He’s almost 5kg now!! (the weighing machine shows 4.98kg) Padan la rasa lenguh-lenguh je dodoi die nak tido. Ish Ish Ish.. cepatnye anak mama besar. And while we were at the hospital, I was quite proud to see that most of the other babies his age are not as big as he is and since the doctor didn’t comment anything on his size, he’s a perfectly healthy baby as he is! Alhamdulillahhhh!! It’s quite a wonder since both Hariz and I aren’t the “physically big” type, but we both have very BIG appetite. So I guess it runs down to him too ahahah!!!

He cried a lot when he got his shots. Two shots! One on each leg. He didn’t cry when we place him on the bassinet but as soon as Hariz turned him sideways, he cried as if he knows what’s coming. TT_TT Aku tak berani nak pegang die time nak kene cucuk. He kicks hard and I’m afraid I’d lose my grip. The nurse says after the shot it’s normal for babies to have fever so the hospital gave him a bottle of paracetamol. That night his temperature rises but the fever wasn’t that bad. Little Shareese kinda throws a little tantrum that night. He cries a different cry as if he’s complaining about the day. Really, it does sounds like that! But after we gave him the medicine, the crying slows down after a while and then he falls asleep. Huuhuu syiann anak mama..

Next appointment is due in October, his 3rd month birthday! Hope everything will be allright and that he’ll be a big boy to handle the shots by then. =) Hee seronoknya ada anak! Walaupun malam tido tak lena, tapi bila tengok die senyum, ketawa, cuba nak cakap dengan kite, uweeeeeeee gumbiranyaaaa hatikuuuuuu!!!!!!! *lovestruck!*

My Little Usavich

My Little Usavich

Shareese Hamzah Bin Mohd Hariz was born on July 14th 2010 at 3:00pm via Cesarean Section due to fetal distress. Little Shareese is born healthy weighing 3.36kg and is 47cm in length. Wow, that’s like 1/3 of his mum’s height already. Alhamdulillah, proses kelahiran berjalan lancar walaupun tak seperti yang dirancang. Yang penting kami berdua selamat. =)

Antenatal Checkup and Tetanus Shot (ep 2)

Current Mood:*hearties* emoticon *hearties* & *mwaks* emoticon *mwaks* & Lovely emoticon Lovely

Finally got my second dosage of the Tetanus shot. My left arm is still numb, but I still manage to type this out. =D My belly’s getting bigger, though the doctor who checked me during my routine antenatal checkup says my tummy size is really good. I’ve heard a lot of people say I am “extraordinarily” HUGE but the doc says I’m doing just fine. Maybe my tummy looks HUMONGOUS because of my petite size. Hmm.. but I’ve gained almost 16kgs eversince I got pregnant. T_T From good ol’ 40kg to a whooping 55.9kg!!

I’ve been feeling some mild contractions since the last few days but nothing intense. Sometimes there’s a feeling of crampness down at the veejayjay area down there, almost like a period cramp only not so intense. Hmm.. I wonder if labor is starting. I so can’t wait to hold my little one in my arms and get over with anticipation. I’m not very patient when it comes to waiting. =3= muhh.. Still got 14 days more to go before the actual due date, and I hope everything would turn out just great. =D Wish me luck, friends and families!! >v<

Flight delayed and he’s 1/5 into the birth canal

Current Mood:*mwaks* emoticon *mwaks* & Magical emoticon Magical

Just went through another session of my antenatal checkup today. Now the frequency of visits to the doctor has risen from once in two weeks to every week. Shareese’s position is still head down (alhamdulillah~) and the doctor said that his head is 1/5 into the birth canal already. O_O Don’t ask me how she knows but she just touched me here and there and then it’s decided.  Haa.. part of me really wishes Shareese would come out early than his due date (it’s hard work being pregnant, now I understand how u feel mum!) but as long as he’s healthy, carrying him for a few more extra days wouldn’t be so bad. =) I haven’t felt any contractions or seen any mucus plug on my panties or bloody signs on it either, but I hope labor is on the way slowly bur surely!

Baby Shareese!! Papa has come home from the US today whee!! Alhamdulillah he arrived safe and sound eventhough his flight was delayed and one of his luggage went missing. (tough luck!) Papa brought back a lot of nice clothes for youuuuu!!! And what mama likes the most is the black and red Nike Air Jordan that papa bought especially for your little feet to wear. Though you might have to wait a year or maybe two to fit into it. But it’s sooo cute!!! >v< He also has finish setting up your little crib for you to sleep in. Complete with an apple green bedding set that matches the colour of our bedroom and also a mosquito net to keep the nasty bug bites away from you while you’re asleep. We’re ready to have you in our open arms and we’re waiting so very patiently for you to arrive so please make it safely to the new world where you’ll be able to explore lots of new things. We love you so muchhhhh!!!!

p/s: ahhh~~ tak sabar nak dukung anak sendiri!!!

Tadi gi buat my bi-weekly antenatal checkup kat PPUM for my 36 weeks gestation. Since this is a semi-government clinic, you will randomly get any available doctors for the moment jadi this week aku nyer doctor lain pulak. Doc perempuan wheee~~~ Untung dapat doc perempuan. Dah la baik, very motherly and gentle betul waktu die buat aku nyer checkup. I like her already! Bile pikir-pikir balik, 4 kali aku buat checkup kat sini, turn doctor laki ngan perempuan die macam gilir-gilir je. Hmm~ maybe nasib-nasib kut. Anyways, doc ade tanya pasal baby aku breech ke last two weeks and aku cakap aah tapi hari ni taktau lagi. Bile doc suruh aku baring kat katil tu die check-check, masyaAllah begitu gumbiranya rasa hati bile die kate die rase baby nyer bahu macam ada kat bawah dah. So she picked up this heartbeat monitor scan thing and put it at the lower part of my belly. Dapat dengar heartbeat! Then die letak kat atas perut lak, takde dengar bunyik heartbeat. To make sure he’s really down there, doc ajak gi 1st floor (labor room) untuk buat ultrasound. Actually bilik ultrasound kat 3rd floor and kene buat booking dulu tapi ni kire kes emergency sop gune je machine yg kuno skek kat 1st floor tu.

Haaa! This is when the good part starts. Tingkat 1 tu labor room. Waduh! Is this what I have to go through when my time comes? Terasa amatlah chuaknyer~ After buat ultrasound tu, memang comfirmla my little baby is heads down! ALHAMDULILLAHHHHH!! And he’s facing downwards which means he’s not sunny side up which means it’s the position he’s supposed to be. Kalau baby sunny side up (muka menghala ke atas) mungkin akan ade sikit complication waktu nak kuar through the va-jay-jay. whoops! sakit skek la and kene koyak lebih skek. O.O Koyak………. erk..

So after the checkup, I was feeling very happy and hopefully little Shareese will stay heads down till the time comes for him to come out. *v*

Oh ye.. Masa tengah buat the usual urine test and blood pressure test, ade nurse yang membawa my medical report file datang bertanya “Have you had any sexual intercourse with your husband for the last one and a half months?” then aku macam.. ehhh?? O_O? Then aku jawab je la ada and then she said “Good good! Sorry for the personal question but we’re doing a survey to compare the difference between women who’s been sexually active and those who are not when it comes to giving birth. Do keep up your healthy sexual activity because some studies have actually shown that those who’re more active sexually tends to give birth easier. =)”

Oh iye ke~~~~~

Breeched

breeched

Today’s my third antenatal checkup with PPUM and I’ll be doing my first ultrasound with them today! Wow, the ultrasound room does look a bit haunted.. O.O It’s gloomy and filled with old furnitures. Hahah mengada betul. Mementang sblum ni gi buat scan dkt private. All in all the service was quite good, except that the sonographer was obviously in a hurry and rushing things out pointing out only the important parts of the scan procedures. My last ultrasound was during my 25 weeks of gestation and now I’m 34 weeks. Turns out my baby is still breeched. The last time I knew my baby was head’s up was about a month ago, (during my first checkup with PPUM) and now he’s still breeched. The doctor told me that by the next two weeks if my baby still haven’t turn they will try to do an ECV on me. External Cephalic Version, which is to turn the baby from the outside of the tummy, provided there’s still room for the baby to move. If this fails, then they might opt for CESEARAN!!! dang I would definitely DON’T WANT to go for c-sect.. It has it’s pros and cons but for my first baby I would love him to be born naturally. Tapi kalau dah takde rezeki dan dah usaha tapi tak boleh.. nak buat macamana.

Praying hard for my baby to turn. Will check back on you my dear little one in two weeks time! Stay healthy!!

Antenatal Checkup and Tetanus Shot

Current Mood:OMFGSHDDJHAS!! emoticon OMFGSHDDJHAS!!

syringe

Went for my second antenatal checkup at PPUM this morning, with dearest Hariz as my loyal “going-through-the-7am-federal-highway-morning-jam-without-fear” driver ofcourse.  Arrived at the registration counter quite early (yay!) and by the time I was waiting for my turn to see the doctor, a nurse called me and asked if I have had a tetanus shot before. I said no and she asked me to wait inside a small room with two other pregnant ladies. I was like… O_O *gulp!* Am I going to be shot? I HATE NEEDLES and I most definitely thought it would be awfully  painful… I kept on remembering the last time I was given a shot. Back in 1998, the BCG shot. Pergh! CHUAK GILER BEB!!! As I waited for my “shooter” to come into the small room, I kept on having these wild and vivid imagination that makes me more and more agitated about being shot. A few minutes later, the nurse comes in and started to explain about the pros and reason as why we were to be given the shot. She said it wouldn’t hurt (yeah everyone would say that!) and that it’s also been given for our own health safety. She picks up the syringe and starts to give the first person the shot. It was damn quick I thought she hadn’t given it yet but turns out she did! Then it was my turn. O.o *gulp* Here goes….

I gave her my shoulder, and she asked me about where I am working. I wasn’t really thinking about the answer but more like thinking about of all the questions to ask why did she wanna know about where I work? As I was about to think about the location and name of my work place she said “OK dah. setel!” @__@ EEEP??? really? that was it? SERIOUSLY??? WARGHH!! TAK SAKIT LANGSUNG!! Doesn’t hurt ONE BIT. Not even a feeling of being bitten by an ant! WAAA it’s over!!! YAY!!! TAK SAKITTT!!! WHEEE~~

….well the worst part is, the pain starts a few hours after that. And the days after. My left arm feels so numb and aching. It’s hard for me to lift my arm without the feeling of being dragged. =”= urgh.. and it turns out I had only taken the first dose of the Tetanus shot. I were to be given the second dose next month. *sigh* T_T

p/s: The nurses and staff at PPUM are such nice people. They smile a lot, they were very helpful and VERY warm people. Unlike most government workers… I like it there! =) Hope my stay at their ward after I gave birth would be a pleasant one too. >v<
